Fereydunshahr which is located in western parts of Isfahan, has common borders with the Lorestan Province to the west, Khuzestan Province and Kohkiluyeh and Booyer Ahmad to the south.

Large groups of Georgians were decamped to this area under the orders of Shah Abbas. Fereydunshahr is the highest city of Iran.
