Babak is a fort located at the top of a mountain in East Azerbaijan Province which is attributed to Babak Khorramdin, the Iranian commander who rebelled against Abbasids. This fort is placed in 2300 meters height and it is related to Sassanid Period. Babak castle was recorded in list of national, cultural and historical opuses
