Ziyaeieh School or Alexander’s Prison is famous mostly because of its mysterious past. For many centuries onwards after its construction, this building has been used a school for Islamic studies. Alexander’s Prison is believed by some to have been more than just a school. According a poem written by the Persian master, Hafez, this very building was where Alexander the Great kept his Persian prisoners captive.
